You’ve probably heard all the rumors that WWE is planning to give Shane McMahon the push of a lifetime. This push reportedly involves him dethroning Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship. Of course, all this is assuming that Samoa Joe doesn’t win the title, but Kofi Kingston is fully expected to retain until SummerSlam atleast.

WrestleMania to SummerSlam is usually a standard WWE/World Championship reign. It’s long enough to satisfy the fans enough that they can’t really say that the reign was too short. Moreover, SummerSlam is also a good time for a title change. But if Shane McMahon is, in fact, challenging for the title, then there’s a very chance that Kofi Kingston’s reign comes to a halt in a rather underwhelming way.

Shane McMahon may be the “Best in the World”, but is he WWE Championship material?  If you were to ask WWE fans, you’re very likely to get a unanimous “No”. Given that WWE has its most talented roster in history, it makes little sense for an authority figure to become World Champion.

Let’s take a look at five superstars more deserving to dethrone Kofi Kingston as WWE Champion.
