WWE star Batista is very vocal about his beliefs. Recently the former World Champion took to Twitter to respond to a message from Catholic Bishop Thomas Tobin. Tobin claimed that gay pride events are harmful to young children, and go against the beliefs of the Catholic church:
A reminder that Catholics should not support or attend LGBTQ “Pride Month” events held in June. They promote a culture and encourage activities that are contrary to Catholic faith and morals. They are especially harmful for children.

This prompted a response from the “Guardians Of The Galaxy” star, who was not happy with Tobin’s comments:
My moms a lesbian. I think I turned out ok. And the activities she chooses is to help the homeless and people suffering from mental illness. I admit I’m not perfect but at least I was never a judgmental hypocrite! Im sure you dont speak for most Catholics.Have a nice day
