On the start of their friendship:
Billie – We’ve known each other for 15 years all up and ever since we met we had the same goal to make to WWE but to make it as a tag team and we’ve always been extremely close, there’s this bond that kind of happened the first time we met. I always describe it as like a romantic comedy, like we met and it was like “ahh” (revelation noise). It was like I found my soulmate – and then we actually lived in different states for a couple of years so we didn’t see each other as often but we were still really close. So when we moved to Orlando umm, you know we packed up our lives and moved to Orlando, that’s when like our kind of bond kind of like deepened because we had experienced all the struggle and adversity and then we had made it to Orlando in the WWE together, it kind of just solidified this like life long partnership that we have together.
Peyton – So, in high school we were three years apart but – we spent that time being like “frenemies”, because of the whole high school – we had a big high school, we were like the two well known wrestling fans, WWE fans – but in my head I was like “pfft, I’m a bigger wrestling fan she needs to back off” and then in her head – same thing. So actually when I joined wrestling school in Sydney, Billie was already there and when I started we were just like “why have we had this like – weird frenemy relationship for a couple of years”. We just like kicked it off and we were like just gung-ho as soon as I started training with her and the rest is history, honestly.
