2002 was a very interesting period for WWE. It was almost as though it was a “buffer” period between the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression era. We saw a lot of changes happen in 2002, with multiple top stars either phasing out of the company or outright walking out, while new stars slowly began to emerge from the shadows.
Some superstars made more of an impact than others, but 2002 as a whole was an absolutely fantastic year for the product. It was also the year when WWF became WWE after the lawsuit.
