Lucha Underground recently wrapped up a class action lawsuit that saw them come to terms on the immediate releases of Joey Ryan, Ivelisse, Fantasma and Kobra Moon. However, it looks like things aren’t settled quite yet. Lucha Central is reporting that Ring Of Honor (ROH) star Jeff Cobb (aka Matanza Cueto), Famous B, and XO Lishus (AEW’s Sonny Kiss) have all sought out legal representation to obtain their releases.
Cobb’s situation is an interesting one, as it was assumed he was done with the company after his character was killed off on the show’s fourth season. However, Lucha Central reports that despite Cobb signing with ROH, LU has attempted to block him from working there, claiming he’s still under contract.
It was also noted that Willie Mack could follow suit as well, and seek legal representation to obtain his own release. There has been speculation that his status with Lucha Underground was the reason for his NWA National Title loss over the weekend.
