The WWE Network is an amazing repository of wrestling history, but it’s not complete yet. WWE keeps adding all sorts of tapes from its archives, and their addition to the Hidden Gems collection this week is especially notable from its rarity. You can now take in an episode of Leroy McGuirk’s Championship Wrestling from August 12, 1978. This fourty-year-old program eventually morphed into Mid-South Wrestling.
As for what you can expect, you have several matches from Georgia Championship Wrestling as well as the main event starring four famous midget competitors. Watching any of WWE Network’s older broadcasts is always an interesting experience, and here’s hoping that WWE continues to put up interesting oddities from decades past.
