Becky Lynch walked down the stage to open up SmackDown Live, acknowledging her opponent at WrestleMania 35 Rona Rousey. She spoke on how proud she was to come from nothing, working on the Mania pre-show last year to main eventing this year. She would be interrupted by her longtime rival Charlotte Flair, who Lynch eliminated last in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Flair would sarcastically congratulate Becky for her victory at the Rumble, eventually taking credit for “The Man”‘s recent success. Charlotte would tell her that she learned her lessons to get to where she is and that Becky should thank her. Lynch would simply respond by clocking Charlotte in the face and walking out of the ring.

Charlotte, embarrassed from what has transpired, attacked Lynch from behind and engaged in a heated exchange at ringside. The two would have to be separated by WWE officials.
