5 Reasons Why Bret Hart Was The Greatest Wrestler Of His Generation

Bret Hart is one of the greatest of all time, and there’s no disputing it. There were few who could do what he did in the ring. A masterclass technician, Bret Hart is the prototype wrestler, a man who threw punches like it was a shoot but was also one of the safest workers out there.

It comes as no surprise that he was the one who was handpicked to be pushed in 1992. After Hulk Hogan was gone (and left months after his return in 1993), WWE needed a new successor – someone who was young, could sustain and hold the company on their backs for many years and a fresh face who belonged to the newer generation.

This would see the birth of The New Generation Era, an era where it wasn’t just jacked up big men getting pushed. It was the era where wrestlers were far more technically skilled and talented. Bret Hart would lead the way in an incredible era, racking up several world championships and other accomplishments. We believe that he’s the greatest of his generation, and here are five reasons why.
