No one likes sore losers and Shinsuke Nakamura staked his claim of being the biggest one, attacking Rusev on New Rusev Day’s US Title Celebration.

Rusev defeated Nakamura on the Christmas edition of SmackDown Live last week, winning the United States Championship in the process. Rusev and Lana felt that it was necessary to have a Rusev Day style celebration for his third title reign. Rusev, showing great pride in becoming US Champ once again, was elated to be a fighting champion once again. As he sets his sights on defending the title against all comers, a bitter Nakamura would attack him from behind.

Lana would attempt to aid her husband by jumping on the back of Nakamura, but Nakamura would fall backward, stunning her. While distracted attended to his injured wife, Shinsuke would take advantage and deliver a barrage of knee strikes to Rusev.
