According to The Blast, The Rock‘s proposed tequila brand hasn’t worked out quite as well as he’d hoped. His company filed documents for the term “MANA”, which would’ve been the name, but the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office already felt like it was too similar to other companies. He can attempt to save the application by using new terms, but it doesn’t seem as if that’s what he’ll do as the deadline to do so approaches.
Mana is used in Hawaiian and Polynesian culture, and can be translated as ‘spirit.’ The Rock has been seen often on his social media accounts enjoying a glass of tequila, his alcoholic beverage of choice.
