Jeff Jarrett Comments On Losing A Hair vs Hair Match In Mexico

Jeff Jarrett recently spoke with Wrestlezone’s Kevin Kellam; you can read a few highlights and listen to the full interview below:

Jeff comments on getting his head shaved in a match against Dr Wagner, and working with AAA in Mexico:

This is the holiday season and we’re trying to have a good time today. We’re talking about fun stuff, and you just snipe me at the end of the call. Is that what this is all about? [laughs]

This year, in 2018 with AAA—and obviously I’ve gone down there for years and years—I’m the longest reigning [non-Mexican] Mega Champion. And for me to regain it this year, and go in against my arch nemesis Dr Wagner, It’s hair versus hair in this gigantic revenue generator for those folks.

We just had another TV taping a couple of weeks ago with a completely full house. Business is red hot there, and on a personal side, I’m very grateful to be a part of that, and in 2019 things are just going to get bigger and bigger. That organization, however you slice and dice it, obviously WWE is number one in the marketplace, and I understand that, but the number two organization in the world with their television distribution—TripleMania, the last hour, was on Televista, which is like the combination of NBC and CBS. It was on live. They have a cable distribution deal, they’re on Twitch TV, they’re all through South America on cable television. The product is just—people in America, and rightfully so—they don’t really realize how big the [AAA] organization really is, with their distribution and everything that really goes with it.

So, I’ve worked with that organization and family for years, and I slipped on a banana peel and it took a crazy, psycho clown Wagner, a cheating referee and about 9,000 Mexicans to get me to lose my hair. Somehow, some way they did it, but I will get my revenge, my friend.

Jarrett was recently named Ambassador for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign in Nashville; we will be posting more highlights from Jeff’s interview later this week.
