Former Ring Of Honor Television Champion Punishment Martinez made his in-ring debut for NXT last night at a live event in Fort Pierce, Florida. This is a quick debut for Martinez as he’s only lost the Ring Of Honor Television Championship about a month ago and the episode of Ring of Honor television where he loses the title to Jeff Cobb appeared only 2 weeks ago. Martinez is in his mid-30s and is one of the better talents you can snag from the independent scene so it makes sense that they would start using him as quickly as possible as there is not much polish needed for him. Now, it will be interesting to see if he will be seen on-camera during NXT TakeOver: War Games 2018, which will be held in two weeks on the night before WWE Survivor Series 2018 in Los Angeles, California and how Punishment may be factored into NXT TakeOver: New York, the night before WrestleMania.
